So far, SMART Utility is fully compatible with Mac OS X Catalina 10.15. This includes the kernel extension to read external drives.
I have a WD passport that won’t open! I recently updated my Mac to OS Catalina, and I think that is the reason why. The WD SmartWare Icon appears on my desktop. When I push it, I get into a folder. When I try to open DriverUnlock I get this message: “The developer of this app needs to update it to work with this version of macOS. The Photos app in macOS Catalina underwent a major upgrade, bringing many iOS 13 Photos features to the Mac OS. And while Photos retains much of the same user interface as recent versions, the entire app feels snappier, while supporting many new features.
With the notarization requirement, and the changing of how kernel extensions are permitted, there might be additional work. However, right now it completely works.

Update: SMART Utility also works Beta 2. There have been conflicting reports about the external driver however.
There has been an issue with the latest version of the Mac OS Mojave and Catalina (10.14) and the touch capabilities with SMART’s interactive flat panels (IFP). For those who are getting or have a new SMART interactive flat panel, some slight tweaking is required to ensure that your new IFP and your latest Mac OS work smoothly together.
